Mechel raises metal products sales 10% to 797,000 tns in Jan–Jun

MOSCOW, Jul 7 (PRIME) -- Russian metals and mining group Mechel’s sales company Mechel Service raised the sales of metal products by 10% on the year to more than 797,000 tonnes in January–June, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

“This year we plan to strengthen our presence on the market of metalware and steel wire ropes. We expect to create more substocking storages in regions and to equip covered storages of metalware,” Mechel Service CEO Leonid Polyansky said as quoted by the company.

“We will continue our work on cementing our share on the market of beams and profiles. We will offer new services to our clients.”
